Samuel Beckett's plays and novels, expressing a tragi-comic vision of the absurdity of human existence, have been hugely influential. This display celebrates Beckett's achievement. It marks the fiftieth anniversary of the British premiere of Waiting for Godot at the Arts Theatre Club, London in August 1955, and includes photographs and drawings of the author and of a range of his dramatic productions.
